THE SYSTEM

Venture Readiness Levels.

Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) measure technology maturity on a nine-step scale. Venture Readiness Levels (VRL) extend that logic to the full venture. Six dimensions, one shared scale, one common language across founders, scientists, operators and investors.

Each level is anchored in concrete evidence requirements. A venture at VRL 4 in Technology but VRL 2 in Business Model is not "early" or "late". It is precisely located, with a clear next step.
